Ripple's Chief Legal Officer: The SEC's appeal is likely to be abandoned by the new government, and we will respond formally at the appropriate time

2025-01-16 09:12:43

ChainCatcher message, regarding "The SEC has submitted a court statement for the appeal against Ripple," Ripple's Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty posted on X: "As expected, the SEC's appeal is merely a restatement of arguments that have already failed—likely to be discarded by the next administration. We will respond formally at the appropriate time. For now, please be aware: the SEC's lawsuit is just noise. A new era of regulatory support for innovation is coming, and Ripple is thriving."
