Michigan lawmakers propose four new cryptocurrency-related bills
ChainCatcher news, according to decrypt, the Michigan House of Representatives has introduced four cryptocurrency-related bills, covering retirement fund investments in Bitcoin, opposition to Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), and encouraging Bitcoin mining companies to utilize abandoned oil wells for their operations.
Among them, HB 4510 aims to allow state public retirement funds to invest in Bitcoin through regulated exchange-traded products; HB 4511 prohibits state government support for CBDC; HB 4512 and HB 4513 encourage mining companies to conduct mining at environmental remediation sites and provide tax incentives.
