The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy spoke with the Iranian Foreign Minister to discuss the current situation

ChainCatcher news, according to Jinshi Data reports, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Borrell spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian on the 14th to discuss the latest developments in the region following Israel's attacks on Iran.

Amir-Abdollahian strongly condemned Israel's violation of Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity, the attacks on nuclear facilities and residential areas that resulted in the deaths of Iranian military personnel, university professors, as well as women and children. He called on the international community to take decisive action to condemn and stop Israel's acts of aggression. He emphasized that attacking peaceful nuclear facilities is completely illegal and prohibited by international law, and the international community has an obligation to hold Israel accountable for this dangerous and unlawful behavior.

Borrell expressed deep regret and concern over the escalation of tensions in the region and emphasized that the EU is ready to support the diplomatic efforts of the Security Council and other international organizations at any time to help ease tensions and restore peace and security in the region.
