Bitwise CEO: The real competitor to Bitcoin is U.S. Treasury bonds, not gold

ChainCatcher news, according to Bitcoin.com, Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley stated that Bitcoin's main competitor in the safe-haven asset space is not gold, but U.S. Treasuries and other government bonds. He believes that although gold has lower volatility and Bitcoin has higher volatility, both attract investors seeking alternatives to traditional currency assets. Additionally, Horsley pointed out that by 2025, "regulatory uncertainty" will no longer be a major obstacle to Bitcoin investment, and the current bottleneck lies in investors' time allocation and perception of Bitcoin's value. He also mentioned that investors such as family offices have limited interest in "digital gold" type assets, and such issues may become more prominent in the coming quarters.
