Ripple stablecoin RLUSD expands to L2 networks, adopting Wormhole's NTT standard
According to the official blog, Ripple announced the first expansion of its stablecoin RLUSD to Layer 2 networks. Ripple will collaborate with the cross-chain interoperability protocol Wormhole and the NTT token standard to launch tests on Optimism, Base, Ink, and Unichain.
Ripple expects to launch RLUSD on more chains after obtaining final regulatory approval next year. The launch of RLUSD on subsequent chains will require testing and approval from the New York Department of Financial Services. It is reported that RLUSD was initially issued only on XRPL and Ethereum.
