Bloomberg analysts: ETF assets under management will reach $1.48 trillion by 2025, with IBIT ranking sixth

2026-01-03 20:45:45

Senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas from Bloomberg released the performance data for exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in 2025 on the X platform, which shows that last year the assets under management for ETFs reached a record $1.48 trillion (averaging nearly $6 billion per day), an increase of 28% from the previous year.

Among them, BlackRock's Bitcoin exchange-traded fund IBIT has assets under management of approximately $248.44 billion, ranking sixth. However, due to Bitcoin's overall poor performance last year, BlackRock's IBIT was the only ETF among the top 15 with a negative annual return, with an annual return rate of -6.41%.
