The Senate Agriculture Committee pushes the CLARITY discussion draft to maintain bipartisan consensus
Reporter Eleanor Terrett stated that the Senate Agriculture Committee has been working for months to ensure that the CLARITY bill draft has bipartisan support. Although there is still uncertainty as it approaches a critical juncture, such efforts are not common within Congress.
She also recalled that last summer, the CLARITY bill provisions pushed by the House Agriculture GOP passed with significant bipartisan support, with 47 votes in favor and 6 against.
