BitGo launches quantum-secure tools for Bitcoin institutional wallets

According to The Block, the custody institution BitGo announced the launch of a new generation of quantum-safe tools for Bitcoin institutional wallets, helping institutions assess, manage, and reduce quantum-related risks associated with UTXO model wallets.

BitGo stated that this solution introduces a new method for grouping and prioritizing UTXOs by address, based on its multi-signature architecture (a provisional patent application has been submitted), to reduce the risk of public key exposure from partially spent funds. This method does not cover address types that expose public keys from the outset (such as Taproot and Pay-to-Public-Key), and these addresses require separate security measures.
