The core PPI in the United States has slowed down, while the overall PPI has increased by 5.5% year-on-year

According to Jinshi, a key indicator of producer price inflation in the United States unexpectedly slowed in June, with the producer price index (PPI) excluding food and energy rising 4.7% year-on-year and 0.2% month-on-month. The overall PPI increased 5.5% year-on-year.

The general business conditions index for manufacturing activity at the New York Federal Reserve Bank rebounded in July due to an increase in new orders and shipments, with the employment index reaching its highest level since December 2022.
