According to Jinshi, on July 28 local time, the U.S. Senate passed a procedural vote on a bill aimed at sanctioning Russia and Iran with a vote of 86 in favor and 12 against.
According to the bill, the U.S. will impose a 100% secondary tariff on countries that continue to purchase Russian oil and gas. In addition, the bill includes new provisions to extend the sanctions against Iran, which were originally set to expire at the end of this year, ensuring that the relevant sanctions remain in effect.
