Saudi Defense Minister visits the U.S. to seek to ease tensions with Iran
According to Jinshi reports, Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman met with U.S. Vice President Vance in Washington on July 29, stating that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed intends to ease tensions with Iran. Khalid pointed out that attacks by Iran-aligned militia groups in Iraq on Saudi infrastructure have crossed a red line, and Saudi Arabia must respond.
He also stated that Saudi Arabia has the capability to deal with the Yemeni Houthi armed forces and currently does not require U.S. intervention, as Saudi Arabia is negotiating with the Houthi armed forces.
