South Korean President Lee Jae-myung's approval rating has fallen to its lowest point since taking office
According to a report by the Korean News Agency, a poll released on Monday shows that due to the impact of the stock market crash and other controversies, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung's approval rating has fallen to its lowest level since he took office in June last year. This poll, conducted by Realmeter and commissioned by the media EKN, indicates that the public's positive evaluation of Lee Jae-myung has decreased by 0.4 percentage points to 45.9%, marking a decline for the third consecutive week. The public's negative evaluation of Lee Jae-myung has risen by 1 percentage point to 50.5%, breaking the critical 50% mark for the first time.
Another poll conducted by the same polling agency shows that the approval rating of the ruling Democratic Party is at 45.1%, an increase of 3.8 percentage points from the previous week; while the approval rating of the main opposition party, the People Power Party, has decreased by 2.9 percentage points to 37.7%.
