BNB Chain launches the Build the Era hackathon, soliciting the best AI Agent trading market on BNB Smart Chain

On August 5, 2026, BNB Chain officially launched the Build the Era open hackathon, aimed at individual developers and teams, soliciting proposals for building the best AI Agent trading market on the BNB Smart Chain. Currently, over 200,000 AI Agents based on the ERC-8004 standard have been registered on the BNB Smart Chain, accounting for about 60% of the total number of similar Agents across 26 networks, but there is a lack of a unified entry point for discovery, comparison, and invocation. This hackathon aims to fill this discoverability gap.

The total prize pool for this hackathon exceeds $40,000, jointly provided by BNB Chain and ecosystem partners such as TermiX, PancakeSwap, AltLayer, and Altana. Among them, the champion of the main track from BNB Chain will receive a reward equivalent to 30,000 USDT and have the opportunity to be officially adopted as the trading market for BNB Agent Studio, incubated and operated as an independent product. TermiX has set aside a partner track prize of 10,000 USDT, PancakeSwap offers 1,000 CAKE, AltLayer provides the 8004scan Pro solution and AltLLM credits, and Altana offers 50,000 XP.

The submission period for works is from August 5 to September 9, with the evaluation period from September 9 to 23, and the winners will be announced on November 5. BNB Chain reminds developers to build markets around four types of Agents: monitoring, grid trading, health factor management, and yield optimization, and suggests that the market should have cross-category coverage capabilities.
