Data: The grayscale XRP trust ETF sold over 180 million USD worth of XRP in the first half of the year, with losses exceeding 34 million USD

According to the 10-Q filing submitted by Grayscale XRP Trust ETF to the U.S. SEC, the fund sold over $180 million worth of XRP in the first half of 2026, with holdings decreasing from 122.23 million coins at the end of 2025 to 55.04 million coins as of June 30. The sale of XRP to redeem shares resulted in a realized loss of $34.16 million, along with an unrealized loss of $17.47 million. During the same period, the price of XRP fell from $1.84 to $1.05, a decline of over 40%.
