According to Nasdaq's Q1 2026 financial report and the 8-K filing submitted to the SEC, its 23-hour trading system (23/5) has been approved by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and will officially launch on December 6, 2026.
At that time, the U.S. stock market will only be closed for 1 hour each day (Eastern Time 20:00-21:00) for system clearing and data processing, remaining open for trading for the other 23 hours.
