Gate Ventures: BTC and ETH have rebounded strongly, with the SEC regulatory framework and institutional funds becoming key catalysts for the market

2026-08-25 18:44:28

According to Gate Ventures' latest weekly report, the cryptocurrency market rebounded significantly last week after an initial adjustment. BTC and ETH rose by 23.6% and 31.4% respectively, with the total market capitalization of the cryptocurrency market increasing by 22.1%. Market sentiment quickly shifted from "fear" to "greed," with the fear and greed index rising from 27 to 73. At the same time, Bitcoin ETF net inflows were approximately $1.9 billion, and Ethereum ETF net inflows were about $697 million, further strengthening the market rebound momentum with institutional funds returning.

Another major focus of the market this week comes from the acceleration of regulation and traditional finance entering the digital asset space. The regulatory framework for crypto assets proposed by the U.S. SEC is seen as an important policy catalyst, expected to further clarify the regulatory path for crypto financing and tokens; Laser Digital has obtained Japan's first new cryptocurrency exchange license in four years; the European Commission is considering including cryptocurrency lending services in the MiCA framework.

In the venture capital market, three financing deals were completed last week, with a total disclosed financing amount of $283 million, an increase of 1,329% compared to the previous week, including Ripple completing a $275 million financing; privacy Layer 1 project Beldex secured $8 million in financing, and Blueprint Finance also received strategic financing. Overall, market risk appetite has clearly rebounded, with an improved regulatory environment, returning institutional funds, and the accelerated integration of traditional finance and digital assets becoming important forces driving a new round of industry development.
