Genius Group sets a target of 2 billion dollars for AI and Bitcoin dual treasury
AI education company Genius Group, listed on the NYSE, announced a new plan to build dual vaults for AI and Bitcoin, aiming for total assets of $2 billion. The company previously liquidated all its Bitcoin in April this year to repay $8.5 million in debt.
Genius Group first adopted a "Bitcoin-first" strategy at the end of 2024, with holdings peaking at 440 BTC, but due to a court injunction preventing financing, it was forced to reduce its holdings multiple times, leaving only about 84 BTC by February 2026. The company now plans to utilize a $1.2 billion SEC registration limit to issue perpetual preferred securities, with an initial fundraising target of $12.5 million. The funds will be allocated to the AI vault, Bitcoin vault, and cash reserves.
This plan emulates the financing model of Strategy, which has raised over $16 billion through perpetual preferred shares for Bitcoin holdings. Genius Group stated that the excess returns generated from preferred capital will directly enhance the net asset value of common shareholders.
