Data: The net buying of listed companies in a single week increased by 529.6% compared to the previous week, and the Strategy resumed its increase in holdings after a nine-week hiatus
According to SoSoValue data, as of 8:00 AM Eastern Time on August 31, 2026, the total net purchase of Bitcoin by global listed companies (excluding mining companies) in the past week was $513 million, an increase of 529.6% compared to last week.
Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) purchased 4,603 Bitcoins last week at a price of $80,318, spending approximately $370 million, bringing its total holdings to 845,050 Bitcoins, marking its first purchase in nine weeks. The Japanese listed company Metaplanet did not purchase any Bitcoin last week, marking seven consecutive weeks without purchases.
In addition, another company announced the purchase of Bitcoin last week. Asset management company Strive announced on August 31 that it spent approximately $143 million last week to purchase 1,800 Bitcoins at a price of $79,431, bringing its total holdings to approximately 23,156 Bitcoins. The French Bitcoin treasury company Capital B announced that it has raised €21 million (approximately $24.5 million) from investors and institutions, including Adam Back, for the purpose of purchasing Bitcoin.
As of the time of publication, the total amount of Bitcoin held by the listed companies included in the statistics (excluding mining companies) is 1,147,229 Bitcoins, an increase of 0.6% compared to last week, with a current market value of approximately $89.6 billion, accounting for 5.7% of Bitcoin's circulating market value.
