Texas Attorney General Paxton did not participate in the restriction lawsuit after receiving donations from Kalshi

According to Politico, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has long advocated for strict enforcement of gambling laws, but after his political action committee received a $5,000 donation from the prediction market platform Kalshi in May 2025, and he personally received a $7,000 donation from Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour in June of the same year, he did not participate in several legal actions initiated by other state attorneys general aimed at restricting Kalshi's operations.
