Anthropic stated that the dark side of the moon has transferred nearly 300,000 Kimi requests to Claude

Anthropic released the latest AI abuse investigation report, stating that the Dark Side of the Moon had directly forwarded some Kimi user requests to Claude and then displayed Claude's responses to the users. Anthropic claimed that within a 10-day window, nearly 300,000 user requests were forwarded in this manner, with the vast majority entering Opus. The Dark Side of the Moon used 5,380 violating accounts for this, and these users believed they were still using Kimi.

Anthropic also stated that the Dark Side of the Moon would save some interactions and extract Claude's complete reasoning process through "cross-session replay" to train its own models. From May to July, there were over 23 million related distilled interactions. Some real user requests even contained internal corporate codes and valid credentials, which were also forwarded to Claude. Anthropic indicated that it did not know whether these users were informed that their data would be sent to third parties.
