Ripple brings AI intelligence to the corporate treasury platform acquired for 1 billion dollars
Ripple announced the introduction of GSmart AI agents in its corporate treasury platform Ripple Treasury, used for monitoring corporate cash, risks, and forecasts, and providing action recommendations to finance teams. Ripple Treasury is the GTreasury platform that the company acquired for $1 billion last October.
These agents can cover processes such as liquidity, forecasting, and reconciliation, recommending responses and citing relevant company policies when issues are detected, but all operations require manual approval before execution. Ripple stated that financial calculations are completed by deterministic software, and AI is only used to interpret policies, identify patterns, and explain recommendations to reduce the risk of errors.
GSmart was launched before Ripple's acquisition of GTreasury, going live in June 2025. This update expands it to more treasury workflows and introduces a policy layer called Knowledge Studio and an Ask GSmart assistant for querying corporate financial data. Ripple claims that 60% of eligible clients have enabled the Risk Insights feature, and 44% use Forecast Insights. The platform now supports the simultaneous management of traditional and digital assets.
