President Xi Jinping's visit to the United States this week may not include a delegation of corporate executives

According to The Wall Street Journal, Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Washington this week to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump. Sources say that Xi is unlikely to bring a delegation of corporate executives, reducing expectations for a significant business agreement at the summit.

The two sides are expected to focus on maintaining the status quo in trade, possibly extending the tariff truce, lowering tariffs on some non-sensitive goods, and making gradual progress on trade committees and tariff reductions. U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer stated that both sides are selecting a small number of goods that could lead to a trade agreement.

Trump will personally greet Xi at Andrews Joint Base and hold a state welcome ceremony on Thursday, which will include 479 military personnel. The two sides will then hold a summit and state banquet, expected to discuss AI and rare earth issues. This is Xi's first visit to Washington in 11 years.
