The Central Bank of Russia allows mutual funds to invest in cryptocurrency-related instruments
According to Bits.media, the Central Bank of Russia has amended the investment rules for mutual funds, allowing funds aimed at professional investors to invest in settlement indices linked to digital currency quotes.
Retail mutual funds can also allocate a portion of non-listed Russian securities and foreign securities, including tokenized securities and shares of exchange-traded funds linked to cryptocurrency prices, with an investment limit of 10% for related assets and 20% for closed-end funds.
