CFTC Chairman: Will adopt a margin model and control measures to support the integrity of the derivatives market in the cryptocurrency market
Mike Selig, the Chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), stated in an interview with CNBC that there will be no "race to the bottom" on the leverage issue. The CFTC will apply the mature margin models and risk control measures that have long been used in the derivatives market to maintain market integrity in the cryptocurrency market.
