Recently, the 2026 Singapore TOKEN2049 concluded successfully. The stablecoin infrastructure platform Interlace participated in multiple industry events, engaging with global industry partners on topics such as stablecoin infrastructure, cross-border payments, and the integration of digital assets with traditional finance. Additionally, Interlace served as an ecological partner for the Solana ecosystem event Solar Mini Hacker House, supporting developer ecosystem development.

On October 6, Interlace CBDO Mark Homeier attended the "Stablecoin Happy Hour" roundtable discussion, exploring the integration of stablecoins with traditional foreign exchange and banking systems. He stated that as the application of stablecoins continues to expand, bridging the connection between on-chain settlement and traditional financial infrastructure is key to enhancing the efficiency of global capital flow and settlement.

At the "AI & Emerging Onchain Assets" summit on October 8, Interlace co-founder and CPO Romy Song further extended the perspective to real-world consumption scenarios and technological implementation. She believes that truly effective stablecoin payment infrastructure should not require users and merchants to change their existing payment habits but should achieve the connection between stablecoins and existing payment networks through underlying infrastructure.

Bridging the "last mile" of stablecoin payments, allowing infrastructure to complete "currency conversion"

During the summit presentation, Romy shared a set of data: by 2025, the on-chain transfer scale of stablecoins is expected to reach approximately $33 trillion, with about $390 billion entering real-world payment scenarios, and the consumption scale completed through cards is about $4.5 billion. This indicates that stablecoins have the capacity for large-scale on-chain value transfer, but to truly integrate into daily business activities, further efforts are needed to bridge the "last mile" from on-chain settlement to real-world payments.

Next-generation stablecoin infrastructure must not only connect users' existing payment networks but also complete the conversion between stablecoins and local currencies at the time of payment, embedding limits, payment rules, and compliance requirements into the process. This concept is also reflected in Interlace's product layout and core business.

Interlace focuses on card issuance infrastructure as its core capability, helping clients such as exchanges, wallets, fintech platforms, brokerages, and financial institutions quickly launch their own branded card projects within weeks through API and white-label solutions, supporting customized card designs, virtual and physical cards, Apple Pay, Google Wallet, and flexible card project configurations. At the same time, Interlace is continuously exploring more emerging payment scenarios to further expand the connection between stablecoins and real-world commerce.

For example, the Scan to Pay product allows users to scan local QR codes, enabling consumers to make payments using stablecoins, while Interlace's underlying infrastructure completes the conversion and settlement of stablecoins with local fiat currency, allowing merchants to receive payments in local currency. This solution enables users and merchants to maintain their existing payment habits while applying stablecoins to everyday consumption.

In response to the emerging payment needs brought by AI Agents, Interlace launched the Agent Card product and collaborated with industry partners such as Bitget Wallet, Stable, and Blocksec to release the Agentic Payment industry white paper, addressing issues such as controllable payments, permission control, and transaction traceability in actual commercial payments. Interlace is rapidly implementing infrastructure capabilities for Agentic Payment to adapt to new commercial payment scenarios involving AI Agents completing SaaS, API, and AI subscriptions autonomously.

From "on-chain flow" to "buying a cup of coffee"

In addition to thematic sharing, Interlace also brought the concept of "stablecoins entering real-world consumption" to the event site. During the event, Interlace prepared stablecoin gift cards for participants, which could be used to purchase coffee and other items, allowing on-chain assets to genuinely enter specific, everyday consumption scenarios.

From On-chain Flow to Real-world Consumption: Interlace Debuts at TOKEN2049, Exploring the

During this Singapore TOKEN2049 trip, Interlace not only engaged with global industry partners on stablecoin infrastructure and emerging payment scenarios but also further demonstrated its exploration and practice of next-generation financial infrastructure. In the future, Interlace will continue to expand the global payment network and consumption scenarios, promoting stablecoins from "on-chain flow" to "real consumption," making stablecoins as simple to pay and globally transferable as fiat currency.
