Iran Loses Land Trade Routes Under Pressure from the United States
According to The Wall Street Journal, Iraq and Pakistan are cutting off some important land routes in and out of Iran. Previously, U.S. naval blockades and airline sanctions had already severed most of Iran's maritime and air transport routes.
Iraq has closed the Shib border crossing, and Pakistan is intercepting Iranian trucks at Gabd and Taftan, further exacerbating the economic pressure on Iran.
