ChainCatcher message, hacked and $223 million of Cetus was stolen, community update mainly discloses the following content:The affected funds consist of two parts: one part is internal to Sui, and the other part is mainly bridged to the ecosystem in the form of ETH.The data recovery work for the Cetus protocol is actively underway and is expected to take several hours.The aggregator service has been restored and supports exchanges through partners such as Phantom and Binance Alpha. It has been confirmed that the Cetus CLMM pools, which were unaffected in this incident, will begin to resume operations once accurate holding data is fully restored.Active discussions are ongoing with the Sui Foundation and other community members to finalize key details of the recovery.Two directions are being pursued simultaneously: (1) resolving the issue as soon as possible through white hat negotiations; (2) actively collecting clues and evidence to recover funds through legal channels.Different recovery scenarios are being simulated, and technically feasible fund recovery and compensation plans are being designed.It has been proposed to conduct a protocol upgrade through PoS voting to unlock and return most of the stolen funds currently frozen in the attacker's Sui wallet.
