ChainCatcher news, AI development company Together announced the completion of a $20 million seed round financing, led by Lux Capital, with participation from Long Journey Ventures, Robot Ventures, as well as PayPal co-founder Scott Banister, OpenSea co-founder Alex Atallah, and Uniswap COO MC Lader. The funds raised will be used to build an open-source artificial intelligence and cloud platform.Together has established partnerships with decentralized infrastructure providers, open-source communities, and academic and corporate research labs, and has already released several AI projects, including GPT-JT, OpenChatKit, and RedPajama. Its goal is to help create open models that go beyond closed models, making open-source the default approach for integrating AI. By researching distributed optimization, it has built a dedicated cloud platform for large models that can effectively scale training and inference, with plans to open access to the platform in the coming months.
