At the same time, Tether has also signed an option agreement that grants the right to purchase an additional 34,444,580 shares of the company after October 29, 2025.Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that this investment is an important step in the company's strategy to deepen the financial infrastructure supported by hard assets such as gold and Bitcoin, aiming to build a more resilient and transparent financial system. It is reported that Tether Group already holds over 100,000 Bitcoins and nearly 80 tons of physical gold, and has issued the physically gold-backed Tether Gold (XAUT) token.
