first_img Galaxy Research: The conditional market begins to expand, affecting the market approaching the mainnet

Galaxy Research released a research report on October 15, categorizing decision markets and impact markets as conditional markets. These two types of conditional trading settle only when specific outcomes occur, and decision markets also settle on clear and binding results. Unlike prediction markets, conditional markets are not limited to binary, all-or-nothing structures; they trade real assets and their prices rather than synthetic probability contracts, with the byproduct being the impact of events on asset values rather than occurrence probabilities. The agency referred to prediction markets as the zero version of event-driven finance, with a large number of experiments emerging over the past 18 months, and new infrastructure pushing it beyond prediction markets. The ownership token-based issuance platform Umia, aimed at EVM-compatible chains, launched in September, expanding decision markets from being primarily limited to Solana, where MetaDAO was the first to scale binary pass or fail markets, to multi-outcome markets that can price proposal parameters. A deposit of stablecoins or DAO tokens can simultaneously convert into positions covering each outcome, with only winning market trades ultimately settling. Currently, 22 DAO treasuries fully governed by decision markets hold a total of $50.5 million, with MetaDAO accounting for 21 of them and 78% of the assets; the stablecoin portion is $35.8 million, with MetaDAO holding 82%. The fundraising for the market-governed DAO issuance platform by MetaDAO was approximately 11 months prior to this research report. Umia extends the issuable chains to Solana or EVM, which together account for about 92% of TVL by chain type.

first_img Umia raised $6.11 million through the auction of UMIA tokens, with a fully diluted valuation (FDV) reaching $18 million

The platform Umia, which helps cryptocurrency projects issue and govern tokens, completed a $6.11 million financing by auctioning its own UMIA tokens. Francesco Mosterts, co-founder and CEO of Umia, told The Block that the seven-day auction had a fully diluted valuation of $18 million, selling a total of 17.3 million tokens, which accounted for 34.6% of the total supply. All tokens sold in the auction were unlocked at issuance, with no lock-up period. According to CoinGecko data, the current trading price of UMIA is approximately $0.68, corresponding to a fully diluted valuation of about $34 million.About 45% of the funds came from institutional investors, with ten funds participating, including Galaxy Ventures, Digital Currency Group, Draper Associates, RenGen, Alpha EV, Maven 11, and Eon Capital, along with nearly 700 individual bidders. Umia stated that these funds had the same terms as other bidders, did not receive discounts, and no investors were granted board seats, observer roles, or advisory positions. The auction took place from August 26 to September 2 on Base, using Umia's version of Uniswap's continuous liquidation auction, with a minimum target of $2 million and a maximum token price of $0.36.Umia places the intellectual property, operational team, and treasury of each project under the same legal structure associated with the tokens, rather than being dispersed among companies, foundations, and DAOs.

Binance has listed the RWA Layer2 project Lumia super node sale, with over 5 million dollars in transactions in four days

ChainCatcher news, the RWA Layer 2 project Lumia (formerly known as Orion) has launched its supernode sale, achieving over $5 million in transaction volume in just four days. According to the official statement, the community holds an optimistic view of the project's prospects, and the first batch of node purchasers is expected to see a return on investment within the next 45 days. The total number of Lumia supernodes is 50,000. After the product upgrade, 50% of the newly added tokens will be used to reward node holders. The node sale is divided into 9 phases, with the first phase currently open, selling 10,000 nodes at a price of $1000 each, ensuring early bird users' profits. The remaining 40,000 nodes will be sold in 8 phases at a rate of 5,000 nodes per phase, with the price gradually increasing as the available nodes decrease.Lumia supernodes provide holders with various forms of income, including daily fixed rewards, earning additional income by running specific nodes, and authorizing key participants to expand income channels. Users can purchase using the code "CHAINC".It is reported that Lumia aims to provide super liquidity for real-world assets (RWA) in its role as layer 2, facilitating the seamless integration of RWA with the digital world.
