FTX seeks to recover $71 million from its charitable department and other life science entities
ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, the bankrupt crypto exchange FTX and its sister company Alameda are seeking to recover over $71 million from FTX's charitable arm and other life science entities.Lawyers stated that the FTX Foundation collaborated with Latona to obtain approximately $71.5 million from FTX and Alameda Research for investments and donations to life science companies, in line with Bankman-Fried's personal investments. The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York also agreed to return a $550,000 donation provided by FTX.Last month, Alameda's lawyers sought to recover $700 million that FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried paid to establish connections with celebrities and politicians. This month, FTX also requested the court to recover $323 million from the leadership team of the exchange's European branch. (source link)
