ZKM collaborates with GOAT Network to release zkMIPS 1.0
ChainCatcher news, ZKM and GOAT Network have released zkMIPS 1.0, the first scalable deployment version of the zero-knowledge virtual machine (zkVM) based on the MIPS architecture. Compared to the previous zkMIPS 0.3.0 version, performance has improved by 19 times. This version has successfully completed the verification of Ethereum mainnet blocks on the ETHProofs benchmark platform supported by the Ethereum Foundation, ranking first in performance comparisons.ZKM stated that the next phase will focus on overcoming key technical bottlenecks such as "real-time proving," accelerating the adoption and implementation of ZK technology in modular blockchains and cross-chain applications. It is reported that zkMIPS 1.0 has been put into use as the core execution foundation of GOAT Network, helping to build a secure, decentralized, and sustainable BTC yield network. This collaboration also marks the first large-scale practical implementation of zkVM technology in the Bitcoin ecosystem, making GOAT Network the first BTC Layer2 project equipped with zkVM.
