The SEC argues that the lower court made errors in its interpretation of securities law in part of its ruling and requests the appellate court to reconsider the relevant decisions.

Ripple's Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty posted on X that the SEC will not delay the submission of briefs, which is part of its appeal against the ruling on Ripple.Alderoty stated, "This is a complete waste of time and taxpayer money; nevertheless, we are confident in our position on the appeal and look forward to working with the new SEC leadership to resolve this matter."Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse agreed with Alderoty's statement, suggesting that the SEC's approach to cryptocurrency enforcement may change after President Trump is inaugurated on January 20.
