Sun Yuchen appeared online at the HTX Genesis Hackathon: AI Agent is the core driving force for Web3 to move towards intelligence

Huobi HTX global advisor Sun Yuchen made a significant appearance at the HTX Genesis Hackathon opening ceremony in Hong Kong in an online format, sharing his latest insights on the application prospects of AI Agent technology in the Web3 field and the future development direction of the industry. He pointed out that AI Agent will replace traditional interaction methods and become the core driving force of the next phase of the Web3 ecosystem. He explained that past Web3 applications often came with extremely high learning thresholds and complex on-chain interactions, while the introduction of AI Agent will drive decentralized applications (DApps) to evolve from "manual operation" to "intention-driven" based on natural language. This means that AI Agents can autonomously understand user needs, automatically plan paths, and complete complex on-chain settlements such as cross-chain transactions. This paradigm shift towards intelligence and autonomy will not only greatly unleash on-chain productivity but also become a new breakthrough point to break the bottleneck of Web3 user growth and lead the industry toward true mass adoption. It is reported that the HTX Genesis Hackathon is hosted by HTX DAO and B.AI, co-hosted by TinTinLand and OpenCity, attracting numerous developer communities, investment institutions, project parties, trading platforms, and public chain ecosystems to participate.

Coinbase incubated the x402 protocol and launched the artificial intelligence robot application store Agent.market

According to The Block, the x402 Foundation, incubated by Coinbase, has announced the launch of the unified platform Agent.market, aimed at providing an "app store"-like service entry for AI robots. The platform is built on the x402 protocol and helps users and robots access hundreds of tools and services. The x402 protocol is named after the unused HTTP 402 "Payment Required" status code, allowing websites, APIs, and AI robots to request and receive instant micropayments through blockchain and traditional payment channels. The protocol is managed as an open standard by the x402 Foundation under the Linux Foundation and has the support of over 20 organizations and crypto companies, including Cloudflare, Stripe, AWS, Google, Visa, Base, Circle, and the Solana Foundation. When Agent.market goes live, it will cover seven major categories including reasoning, data, media, search, social, infrastructure, and trading, with service providers including OpenAI and Venice (reasoning); Bloomberg and CoinGecko (data); LinkedIn, X, and AgentMail (social); AWS Lambda, QuickNode, and Alechemy (infrastructure); as well as Bankr and Coinbase RAT (trading). Providers can join the marketplace without permission.Erik Reppel, the creator of the x402 protocol, stated that there are currently about 69,000 active agent robots on the protocol, which have completed over 165 million transactions with a transaction volume of 50 million dollars. He pointed out that agent commerce based on x402 is reshaping the customer acquisition activation costs for businesses, as robots can now access services at a very low setup cost without needing API keys.

The Polish Prime Minister claims that cryptocurrency companies are involved with Russian gangs and intelligence networks and are funding political opponents, sparking regulatory controversy

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that a cryptocurrency company linked to "Russian gangs and intelligence agencies" is funding political opponents and influencing domestic cryptocurrency regulatory legislation.During a parliamentary vote on Friday, Tusk pointed out that some Polish politicians obstructing cryptocurrency regulatory legislation are serving the interests of a company named Zondacrypto, which is accused of providing "financial support" to political figures and has ties to Russia. Tusk further claimed that the company sponsored the CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) event held in Poland last year, during which former U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem publicly supported President Karol Nawrocki's campaign. Tusk bluntly stated that the company's funding sources involve not only "money related to the Russian mafia (Bratva)" but may also be connected to Russian intelligence agencies.Meanwhile, President Nawrocki won the election in June last year, with support from former U.S. President Donald Trump. The president's office responded that it does not oppose cryptocurrency regulation itself but opposes the "flawed regulatory model" proposed by the government. This controversy arises amid the political tug-of-war in Poland over the cryptocurrency regulatory bill. The bill aims to align with the EU's MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation) framework, but the president previously vetoed the related bill and blocked parliament from overturning the veto in December, hindering the regulatory process.
