Aptos: The misunderstanding that TPS is lower than Bitcoin; TPS will gradually increase with user participation

ChainCatcher message, Paradigm engineer (@ParadigmEng420) tweeted that the Aptos mainnet has launched, but currently, Aptos TPS is lower than Bitcoin. Aptos promises 100,000 TPS in its final version, but the current TPS is about 4 transactions per second, and most of these transactions are not actual transactions; they are just validator communications and setting block checkpoints and writing metadata to the blockchain.

Aptos clarified this in its official Discord, stating that the TPS displayed in the Aptos Explorer is a function of current network activity, not the maximum TPS. The 4 TPS refers to system transactions and does not include any user transactions, which are expected to start tomorrow. As more people participate in the network, TPS will increase.
