Dialogue with Bitget Builders: How to Become a Crypto Co-builder in a Bear Market?
Author: Bitget
From industry explosions to liquidity crises, the global crypto industry has fallen into a bear market predicament. However, "every crisis is also an opportunity." The arrival of the "crypto winter" has pressed the brakes on industry development, providing seasoned players with a chance to recharge while also offering new opportunities for newcomers. With the previous development of the Web3 concept and the breakout of crypto technology, talents and investors from various industries have turned their attention to the crypto sector. How to transition from an industry "novice" to a co-builder of the industry has become one of the focal points of interest.
To help everyone alleviate their concerns, Bitget invited five Builders for an exclusive interview to understand their stories, sharing their experiences in entering the industry, industry insights, risk avoidance strategies, investment tips, and reasons for choosing to become Bitget Builders.
The five interviewees specialize in different fields within the industry, such as content creators, ecological interaction specialists, super nodes, traders, and designers, assisting crypto enthusiasts in gaining a better understanding of the overall landscape of the crypto industry.
Q1: How did you enter this industry, and what prompted you to focus on this track?
Lu Bi Yang Jia: Bitget Builders, specializing in ecological interaction
I was previously an IT developer at a major internet company, so I was able to quickly integrate into the crypto industry. Most people enter the space by trading crypto tokens, and I was no exception, entering during the bull market of 2021. In life and work, we may encounter benefactors or guides. When I first entered the space, I met a good brother, Jerry, who introduced me to some ecological project interactions, which led to very considerable profits. I realized that this industry holds great opportunities for rapid wealth growth, laying the foundation for my current focus on the interaction track.
Xiao Shu Miao: Bitget Builders, content creator
Since college, I have enjoyed traveling and writing. Every time I traveled, I would update my experiences, sights, and feelings on Tianya Forum, where I became a "red board" member. In 2018, Tianya added a blockchain section, and after posting content, fans could like and comment to earn TYT points, which could be traded on a very established crypto exchange.
Although Tianya's blockchain reform was not pure, it was my first exposure to the concept of blockchain. I gained some preliminary understanding of blockchain, Bitcoin, decentralization, etc. After persistently updating for over a year on Tianya, I mined over ten million TYT points.
Output drives input. During this process, I read and learned a large amount of related content daily, gaining a deeper understanding of the principles and mechanisms, keeping up with industry trends, and developing a more profound understanding of blockchain.
I have persisted to this day, experiencing many dark moments in the crypto industry. Tianya, Bihu, and that established exchange have all fallen in the tides of history, becoming tears of the times. However, I have always believed in the future of the crypto industry and have never left, regardless of the past, present, or future.
Shen Yin: Bitget Builders, super node
I entered the industry around 2016-2017 when it began to rise. Although I dabbled a bit in 2014-2015, the community then was still leaning towards Ponzi schemes. Later, I saw the industry moving towards normalization and recognized the future prospects, so I dove in. I like to be a trendsetter.

I previously worked on traditional internet mining projects and came into contact with blockchain trading, gradually entering this track. I have persisted in the blockchain space because I saw people around me change their social status by joining blockchain. I was in a group with Real Madrid and He Yi, where I saw these people achieve financial freedom in the crypto space. When DeFi rose on-chain, I accumulated wealth through stablecoins, on-chain staking, and trading low-cap coins with good friends I used to play with, completing a life transformation. This further strengthened my confidence to develop and persist in this industry.

In 2021, it was a bull market, and projects in various sectors performed well, bringing infinite imagination to the industry. GameFi was highly anticipated, and I started my journey into web3 through chain games.
Q2: We all know that the crypto industry is full of "opportunities for sudden wealth." What has been the most rewarding project you have participated in, and how did you discover it?
Lu Bi Yang Jia: Bitget Builders, specializing in ecological interaction
I have participated in over a hundred projects, with varying degrees of success, and some have resulted in losses. If I had to mention the most rewarding project, it would be Aptos. As a star L1 public chain, the opportunity was evident. Initially, we built the Aptos Chinese community, and by the time of the airdrop, the community had over 8,000 members, making it one of the Chinese communities that received the most Aptos airdrops. Personally, I gained significant returns from A7, providing a strong economic foundation for my continued focus on this track.

One day in April 2020, I happened to watch a live stream on Bihu about Kava. It was just before the bull market, and the layout of public chains was just beginning, while DeFi was in its early stages on Ethereum. I conducted comprehensive research on Kava through its official website, official Twitter, and various channels, realizing this could be an opportunity.
I decisively exchanged all the tokens I had earned on Bihu and other content platforms for KAVA, with an average cost of around 0.35. As the bull market approached, DeFi Summer was in full swing, and the concept of Web3 was reintroduced, with new things like NFTs, GameFi, and DAOs pushing the market to new heights.
When the entire market was in a frenzy, it was the time to remain calm. 707 is my house number and my lucky number. I sold KAVA at 7.07 U, making my first million in the crypto space.

The most memorable experience was with Luna. When it fell, I discovered its irreversible death spiral mechanism and boldly shorted it, earning around $200,000. After it bottomed out, I helped everyone buy the dip, and the next day it skyrocketed 500 times. I also made over $100,000.

The most rewarding project was the algorithmic stablecoin mining project. At that time, the algorithmic stablecoin mining on the ETH chain had just ended, and I caught the algorithmic stablecoin bag project on Huobi chain. It was during the rise of public chains, and the participation of funds was very high, allowing me to benefit from the boom.

The most rewarding project was the GameFi project Axie Infinity. At that time, the GameFi ecosystem was booming, and top projects had great returns. I was active on Twitter, mainly obtaining information from there, following some domestic and international degens, filtering information, and then conducting my own research before following up.
Q3: With high risks come high rewards. What has been the project you lost the most on, and how can we avoid such risks?
Lu Bi Yang Jia: Bitget Builders, specializing in ecological interaction
Back in 2021, I interacted with a very high-quality project. At that time, I interacted with nearly 300 accounts without paying much attention to the number of interactions. Later, when the airdrop standards were announced, it required 10+ transactions, and each account only differed by 1-2 transactions, causing me to miss out on nearly $1 million in profits. It was a pity. I didn't invest enough time and energy, treating each account as a real user for interaction and project experience, but rather just for the sake of earning, which ended in failure.

In November 2021, a very trusted senior told me about a token called NFT. He said that projects by Sun Yuchen would all be listed on Binance, and NFT would soon be listed there, starting at 50 times.
Following a cautious principle, I only bought $1,000 at first. However, the senior was very optimistic about NFT and kept painting a picture of 50 times returns. Based on my trust in him and blind confidence in the market, I eventually put in $30,000. The result is predictable; when I had to cut losses, I was left with only $3,000.
This experience left me down for a long time and prompted a deep review and update of my trading system and philosophy.
Do not blindly follow others' advice, especially when it contains FOMO language. The market is unpredictable, and others' advice is merely a subjective opinion that cannot constitute investment advice; it should only serve as reference information.
Any trading should be conducted with a comprehensive understanding of the situation, documenting the reasons for each trade, and reviewing and summarizing afterward.
Maintain strict position management during the investment process. Focus large positions on BTC and ETH, while participating in smaller positions for other coins; never go ALL IN at any time.
Establish stop-loss and take-profit strategies for each trade and strictly implement them.

EOS, during the FOMO of 2018, I shorted and got burned with 50,000 EOS. I learned the irrationality of altcoins and the importance of not holding positions while sleeping.
Bi Quan Hang Qing Fen Xi: Bitget Builders, intraday short-term trader
The biggest losses were likely from contract liquidations. I have experienced two major liquidations, resulting in heavy losses. The biggest lesson is to be a long-term player; trading should be conducted on the basis of risk control, and risks should be managed as much as possible. Over a long period, anything risky, no matter how low the probability, will eventually become 100%.

It should be the project of shitgod. My NFTs were stolen twice, and I must be extra cautious with any information that actively @s or DMs me on Twitter and Telegram.
Q4: Among the various recruitment benefits for Bitget Builders, which one interests you the most?
Lu Bi Yang Jia: Bitget Builders, specializing in ecological interaction
Bitget Builder is a global crypto influencer recruitment program launched by Bitget, focusing on the growth of emerging bloggers in the crypto industry by formulating personalized traffic support and growth plans for cooperative channels.
This is a great opportunity for some emerging bloggers to gain exposure and support from Bitget's top exchange with millions of traffic, allowing them to continuously produce quality content and contribute to the development of the industry.
Xiao Shu Miao: Bitget Builders, content creator
I am most interested in the "Bitget Insights Program." Although I am now an experienced content creator, I still hope to communicate with more people and share my insights while receiving more feedback.
Bitget is a vibrant emerging trading platform with crypto users from all over the world, and I am very optimistic about Bitget's development prospects.
For me personally, regardless of how long I stay in the crypto space or how much I earn, I will continue to create content, providing users with beginner tutorials, gameplay strategies, project analyses, and industry reports. In this process, I can also grow alongside the industry's development and use my influence to encourage more people to participate in the crypto market and enjoy the dividends brought by Web3.
Bi Quan Hang Qing Fen Xi: Bitget Builders, intraday short-term trader
The community benefits are very attractive, allowing for exclusive activities tailored to the community's situation, and the rewards are quite generous. I enjoy making money together with the community.

Integrating the Twitter of cooperative Bitget Builders with the Bitget Insight feature can gain exposure, which is a great measure. Additionally, the invitation commission can save a lot of fees in the long run.
Conclusion
Although the crypto industry is currently under the shadow of a bear market, facing difficulties and uncertainties, it is precisely because of this that true crypto co-builders can stand out. Before the bull market returns, the industry will inevitably undergo a "great blood change"—the injection of new blood and the departure of failures. Whether developers, investors, or community members, everyone will have the opportunity to play an important role in the development of the crypto industry "returning to the bull market," promoting the progress and innovation of the crypto economy, and supporting industry growth. Bitget has also been committed to nurturing co-builders.
It is reported that Bitget launched the fourth phase of the Bitget Builders recruitment program on August 23, focusing on the growth of long-tail traffic channels in the crypto industry by formulating personalized traffic support and growth plans for cooperative channels, incubating a new generation of crypto opinion leaders.
The recruitment period for Bitget Builders is from August 23, 2023, to September 23, 2023.
Becoming a Bitget community Builder will receive official traffic support and funding support. Builders will work as volunteers with Bitget to enhance influence in the crypto community and have the opportunity to obtain exclusive Bitget Builders identity badges and limited edition NFT medals.
