CoinShares Research Director: The proportion of Bitcoin sold by miners this year is not high compared to the total Bitcoin holdings

ChainCatcher message, CoinShares research director James Butterfill stated: "So far this year, miners have sold Bitcoin worth just over $1 billion, which is a record, but it is misleading because, in dollar terms, miners are also producing Bitcoin at record levels. If you look at it proportionally, you'll find that the Bitcoin sold by miners is not a high percentage of the total Bitcoin holdings; so far this year, it is only 1%, while in 2018 and 2015 it was 2%."
