According to the official announcement, Binance will list MapleFinance (SYRUP) and KaminoFinance (KMNO) on May 6, 2025, at 23:00 (Beijing time), and open trading pairs for SYRUP/USDT, SYRUP/USDC, KMNO/USDT, and KMNO/USDC.
The announcement indicates that SYRUP and KMNO will be assigned seed labels, representing their potential high volatility and risk. Users must pass a quiz and accept the terms of use every 90 days to trade tokens with seed labels.
According to Decrypt, Binance founder Zhao Changpeng admitted in an interview with Rug Radio that his four-month prison experience in the U.S. was "extremely difficult" and "terrifying," stating that he "would not wish that on anyone." However, this experience made him realize the importance of health and family.
He recalled feeling intense anxiety and fear when he first entered prison, facing tattooed, loud, large inmates. His cellmate was sentenced to 30 years for double murder, but they got along well. Due to his non-U.S. citizen status, he could not enter a minimum-security prison and was sent to a low-security facility.
Despite being the founder of Binance and having a billion-dollar fortune, his fellow inmates did not treat him differently. Zhao Changpeng stated that many inmates were friendly, and he still keeps in touch with a few of them.
For him, the hardest part was the mental pressure—worrying that his sentence might be unexpectedly extended. He pointed out that many friends in prison faced similar fates.
This experience led him to reassess life, stating, "Health is the most important, followed by family, then work and other things." Zhao Changpeng also revealed that he will publish a new book detailing his life in confinement.
Zhao Changpeng posted on social media that he will personally attend the "Emerging Technology Governance Summit" in Abu Dhabi and is about to take the stage to speak. According to the conference schedule, Zhao Changpeng will speak on May 6 at 13:55 Beijing time in a session titled "Web3, Regulation, and the New Digital Economy: A Blueprint for Responsible Innovation," representing Binance and Giggle Academy to discuss Web3 and regulatory issues, promoting the adoption of the crypto industry.
