Metaplanet raises $515 million through new share issuance to buy more Bitcoin
According to The Block, Japanese listed company Metaplanet announced that it has successfully raised 74.9 billion yen (approximately $515 million) in capital by issuing 54 million shares through the exercise of the 20th stock subscription rights, to purchase more Bitcoin. This issuance accounts for 29% of the company's subscription warrants, with about 1.31 million warrants (approximately 131 million shares) remaining to be exercised.
Previously, Metaplanet planned to issue a total of 555 million new shares (accounting for 92% of the circulating shares) to raise $5.4 billion for Bitcoin acquisitions.
Binance Wallet: Users with Alpha points no less than 218 can participate in Codatta Pre-TGE event
According to official information from Binance Wallet, Binance Wallet will launch Codatta TGE, with the subscription time from June 25, 2025, 19:00 to 21:00 (UTC+8). Users with Alpha points greater than or equal to 218 can participate in this Pre-TGE event through the Alpha event page. Participating in this event will consume 10 points.
According to official news, Binance is the first platform to launch Humanity Protocol (H):
Alpha trading opens: June 25, 2025, 17:00 (UTC+8).
Contract trading opens: June 25, 2025, 17:30 (UTC+8).
Eligible users can use Alpha points to claim 1600 H tokens airdrop on the Alpha event page within 24 hours after trading starts. The Alpha airdrop will be distributed in two phases:
Phase 1 (first 18 hours): Users holding at least 230 Alpha points can claim.
Phase 2 (next 6 hours): Users holding at least 180 Alpha points can participate in the second phase airdrop, first come first served, until the airdrop pool is exhausted or the event ends.
Please note that claiming the airdrop will consume 15 Alpha points. Users must confirm their claim on the Alpha event page within 24 hours, otherwise, it will be considered a waiver of the airdrop.
According to Cointelegraph, the latest unsealed lawsuit documents from cryptocurrency lending platform Genesis show that executives of its parent company Digital Currency Group (DCG) foresaw legal risks before Genesis's collapse but ignored multiple risk warnings.
DCG CFO Michael Kraines shared a "war game" memo with Genesis's former CEO to prepare for potential lawsuits. The documents also reveal that warnings issued by third-party risk consultants hired by DCG were ignored, leading to Genesis's loan scale ballooning from $4 billion to $12 billion. An internal "culture of submission" formed at Genesis, where employees were forced to prioritize DCG's interests.
Currently, Genesis is seeking to recover over $3.3 billion from DCG, Barry Silbert, and other insiders.
