Bridgewater founder Ray Dalio: Investors should allocate 15% of their assets to gold and Bitcoin
ChainCatcher news, according to Decrypt, Bridgewater founder Ray Dalio stated in The Master Investor Podcast that he recommends investors allocate at least 15% of their portfolios to gold and Bitcoin to hedge against the increasing risks in the bond and stock markets.
He pointed out that the macroeconomic risks brought about by the rising U.S. government debt have not been fully priced in by the market, which could trigger a significant downturn. Dalio expressed that he personally "strongly prefers" gold over Bitcoin and is skeptical about Bitcoin becoming a central bank reserve currency. He believes that Bitcoin has shortcomings in trading privacy and may face protocol security risks.
