The first coverage points include Espoir School of Life on Siargao Island and Barangay Pitogo.The program introduces Starlink satellite equipment, providing six months of free high-speed internet to local areas, aiming to address issues such as insufficient educational resources and poor communication. Bitget stated that in the future, it will further provide skill training and resource support for local students and women's cooperatives through its "Blockchain4Youth" and "Blockchain4Her" projects.Previously, due to infrastructure limitations, local residents mainly relied on microwave radio frequency communication, which resulted in frequent network interruptions and slow speeds, making it difficult to meet basic needs such as online learning and telemedicine. The satellite network access will improve these issues and provide more stable information services to the local community.

ChainCatcher news, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has issued a warning on its official website advising the public to be cautious of CBEX Group and Bitget Pro, which are suspected of engaging in virtual asset-related fraud. The Hong Kong Police Force has taken action to block the relevant websites at the request of the SFC.It is reported that although the relevant websites have been blocked, the public should be wary of scammers who may continue to establish similarly structured websites. The Hong Kong SFC has included CBEX Group and Bitget Pro, along with their respective related websites, on the SFC's alert list of suspicious virtual asset trading platforms as of April 23, 2024.
