ChainCatcher news, Ethereum core developer Tim Beiko posted on X that it has been decided to remove EOF (EVM Object Format) from the upcoming Fusaka upgrade. The main reasons include: the tight timeline for the Fusaka upgrade, the development team's consensus that PeerDAS should be prioritized; the technical uncertainties that EOF may bring; and the community feedback not being effectively incorporated into the decision-making process. EOF aims to optimize the EVM bytecode structure, enhancing security and performance, and was originally planned to include about 15 EIP contents.

ChainCatcher news, former Galaxy Digital research vice president Christine Kim posted on the X platform that Ethereum developers are considering removing EOF (Ethereum Object Format) from the Fusaka upgrade. However, unlike before, Kim believes they might actually take action this time.

ChainCatcher message, Vitalik posted on X stating: "In 2025, we need to implement the Fusaka upgrade on Ethereum Layer 1 (Note: the next upgrade after Pectra), equipped with PeerDAS, preferably setting the blob's target/limit to 48/72. Our goal is to launch a Fusaka testnet with these blob parameters the day after Pectra goes live."
