Cryptocurrency trading and market-making institution GSR announced an investment of 100 million dollars to launch the on-chain credit business Hare, which is built in collaboration with the liquidity distribution platform Turtle, responsible for creating and managing on-chain vaults. GSR's multi-year commitment is primarily provided in the form of credit lines, with its own funds serving as anchor liquidity to enter Hare's products first, followed by the introduction of external investors.Hare initially launched two products supported by the lending protocol Aave: Hare USD Earn, which receives mainstream dollar stablecoins in a single vault, and Hare Gold Earn, which allows holders of Paxos tokenized gold products PAXG and PAXGy to earn returns, with Paxos Labs participating in the collaboration on gold products. Hare's CEO Connor Milner stated that GSR's commitment is considered deployed capital, allowing issuers to access liquidity from day one, and allocators can also see GSR's own funds in the same vault as theirs. Milner previously served as a senior director at London DeFi hedge fund Re7 Capital.Vaults are becoming an important component of on-chain finance, with investors depositing assets into smart contracts, and curators deciding how to deploy funds in lending markets and other strategies. According to data from Vaults.fyi, as of July, 788 curated vaults managed a total of 8.6 billion dollars in assets.

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang holds nearly 870 million shares, with a net worth of approximately 200 billion USD

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang held approximately 870 million shares of NVIDIA stock as of March 23, 2026, accounting for 3.58% of the company's total equity. Based on NVIDIA's stock price of $231.49 in early October, this portion of shares is valued at approximately $201 billion. According to Forbes, Jensen Huang currently has a net worth of about $200 billion, with his personal wealth primarily derived from his holdings in NVIDIA.Jensen Huang is known to be the largest individual shareholder of NVIDIA. Due to U.S. SEC regulations, individual investors holding less than 5% of shares are not required to disclose their holdings, so it is possible that there are undisclosed individual shareholders with holdings exceeding those of Jensen Huang. Major institutional shareholders currently holding more than 5% include BlackRock and Vanguard Group, with ownership percentages of 7.43% and 7.31%, respectively.Jensen Huang co-founded NVIDIA in 1993. Before NVIDIA's first stock split in 1999, he held approximately 2.9 million shares, accounting for 9.9% of the company. If he had retained those shares until now, adjusted for stock splits, it would be close to 2.8 billion shares, indicating that he has since reduced his holdings. In fiscal year 2025, NVIDIA paid him a total compensation of $35.5 million, which included a base salary of $1.5 million, a cash bonus of $3 million, and approximately $31 million in equity granted in the form of 936,800 performance stock units.

The U.S. SEC sues two private equity funds: suspected of falsely selling Pre-IPO shares of OpenAI, SpaceX, etc., and misappropriating investor funds

According to Fortune, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has filed lawsuits against two private fund cases, accusing the relevant fund advisors of raising funds under the pretext of investing in popular tech companies like OpenAI and SpaceX before their IPOs, but allegedly providing false information to investors and misappropriating some of the funds. The SEC stated that Meyer Global Management and its head Owen Meyer are suspected of raising at least $18.5 million from nearly 100 investors to purchase shares of companies before their IPOs, but misappropriated at least $1.27 million, including using fund money for personal consumption, paying entertainment expenses, and personal investments. Among them, the SEC accused Meyer of establishing a fund for investing in shares of OpenAI and SpaceX, but some of the funds did not actually hold the relevant assets. In another case, the SEC and federal prosecutors accused Beyond Alpha Ventures heads Christopher Dinelli and Jacob Frankel of raising over $8.7 million from 35 investors and falsely promoting that the fund held shares in companies like SpaceX and xAI.The SEC stated that the two provided false investment reports, with some of the funds being used for options trading, film investments, and personal use. The SEC emphasized that the accused tech companies and their management have not been found to have engaged in misconduct. Regulatory agencies have been continuously monitoring investment products that promote "acquiring shares before popular private company IPOs" and have launched multiple enforcement actions against relevant private fund advisors.

Michael Saylor seeks to restart the Strategy financing engine: the proposal for daily dividends on preferred shares may pass

According to Bloomberg, Strategy's Executive Chairman Michael Saylor is seeking to adjust the dividend mechanism for the company's preferred shares, proposing to change the dividend payment from bi-monthly or quarterly to daily for billions of dollars in preferred stock. The annualized yield on the related securities can reach up to 12%, and Saylor stated that this move would help improve liquidity and market efficiency.Previously, Strategy primarily raised funds by selling common stock to purchase Bitcoin, but as the premium of common stock relative to its Bitcoin assets disappeared, the company shifted to issuing perpetual preferred shares that do not dilute the equity of common stock shareholders. Such securities have no fixed repayment date and can provide a new source of financing for Strategy. The company currently has over $14 billion in preferred shares outstanding. Although the company has repurchased over $1 billion of floating-rate preferred shares STRC, it has still been unable to issue new STRC since May.Analysts pointed out that increasing the frequency of dividend payments mainly reduces dividend-related volatility, cannot eliminate credit and Bitcoin price risks, and may not necessarily enhance market liquidity. The shareholder vote on the proposal will conclude on October 28. Given that Saylor is the main shareholder of Strategy, the proposal is expected to pass.
