Arcium launches its mainnet Alpha version on Solana, while Umbra simultaneously releases the shielded financial layer
According to The Block, the crypto computing network Arcium has launched its mainnet Alpha version on Solana, marking the transition of its crypto computing network from a testing environment to early production use infrastructure. The project aims to power the crypto capital markets on public blockchains, with its execution engine allowing developers to build verifiable and composable applications while keeping data fully encrypted. The first application to go live on the network, Umbra, launched its "private mainnet" simultaneously, building a shielded financial layer on Solana through a phased rollout, initially offering shielded transfers and crypto exchange functionalities. Access will be limited at first, with 100 users opening each week and a deposit limit of $500, with plans to expand access and raise limits in February.
