first_img Lei Jun announces the release of the Xuanjie O3, O100, and D100 chips

Lei Jun announced that Xiaomi's new generation of the Xuanjie family of chips, Xuanjie O3, Xuanjie O100, and Xuanjie D100, have all completed back-plate verification. Xuanjie O3 is an AI flagship SoC aimed at the highest-end products and will debut on the Xiaomi 18 Fold; Xuanjie O100 is a 1.22TB/s high-bandwidth AI acceleration chip, and Xuanjie D100 is the first domestic 3nm intelligent driving high-performance AI chip, with the latter two set to officially launch next year. The three chips cover the AI computing power needs of Xiaomi's entire ecosystem of people, vehicles, and homes.Xuanjie O3 uses a 3nm process, has an area of 133mm², and a transistor count of 24 billion, which is a 26% increase over the previous generation, with an AnTuTu extreme score reaching 5.22 million. The CPU features a ten-core all-large-core design, with a maximum frequency of 4.35GHz, Geekbench single-core score of 3945, and multi-core score exceeding 15000; the GPU has 16 cores and supports ray tracing, with significant improvements in multiple graphics performance metrics and a 64% reduction in power consumption compared to the previous generation. This chip is the industry's first to support LPDDR6, with an NPU tensor computing power of 200TOPS, and is specifically optimized for large language model inference.Xuanjie O100 is the world's first 6nm 3D wafer-level stacked AI acceleration chip, utilizing wafer-on-wafer packaging and hybrid bonding, with two layers of AI-specific high-speed DRAM and one layer of high-performance NPU stacked vertically, achieving a bandwidth of 1.22TB/s. Together with O3, it can achieve a maximum local AI inference speed of 330 Tokens/s. Xiaomi has restarted its large chip research and development for over five years, with a cumulative investment exceeding 21 billion yuan and a chip team of nearly 3000 people.

hot_img SK Hynix will begin mass production of LPDDR6 in the second half of the year, with the first batch supplied to Xiaomi's flagship phones

SK Hynix announced that it will officially begin mass production of 16Gb LPDDR6 low-power mobile DRAM in the second half of this year, with the first products set to be featured in Xiaomi's next-generation flagship smartphone. The product was developed in March and utilizes 10nm class sixth-generation (1c) technology, offering improvements in data processing speed and energy efficiency compared to the previous generation. SK Hynix has been supplying LPDDR products to Xiaomi since 2013, maintaining a long-term partnership.LPDDR is primarily used in mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, combining low power consumption with high performance. Recently, driven by demand from AI servers, LPDDR prices have continued to rise, with contract prices increasing steadily, leading to a 64.5% quarter-over-quarter growth in global mobile DRAM revenue in the first quarter. SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics are ahead of Micron in preparing for the mass production of LPDDR6. Additionally, the mass production of LPDDR6 is expected to accelerate competition in the SO-CAMM (low-power memory module) market, which is seen as a complementary solution for AI server CPUs. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang visited the SK Hynix booth at the Taipei International Computer Show in June, leaving a message of "LOVE SOCAMM" for the 192GB SO-CAMM.

Kingsoft Cloud accelerates GPU computing power construction, securing a budget of 10 billion from Xiaomi and a long-term contract worth billions from Alibaba

According to reports from Jiemian News, Kingsoft Cloud will accelerate the construction of GPU computing clusters in the second half of the year to meet the explosive growth in computing power demand from major clients. Among them, Xiaomi's demand for Kingsoft Cloud's GPU computing power has upgraded from a ten-thousand-card cluster, with the related budget significantly increasing from nearly 4 billion yuan to over 10 billion yuan. In addition, Alibaba's large model team has signed a 5-year computing power leasing contract with Kingsoft Cloud, involving more than 3,000 eight-card GPU servers. Based on the contracted price, the annualized revenue after full delivery will exceed 4 billion yuan.To meet the surging customer demand, Kingsoft Cloud's capital expenditure plan for 2026 has been raised to 15 billion yuan, with an annual revenue target of 12.5 billion to 13.5 billion yuan. It is reported that due to tight upstream supply, Kingsoft Cloud is currently only accepting long-term contracts from clients for 3 to 5 years, and some orders are facing delivery delays. Due to concerns about the risk of impairment of high-level card assets, Kingsoft Cloud is currently pausing aggressive hardware expansion, anticipating that the prices of computing hardware may reach a turning point for decline in the third quarter of this year.
