Hyperscale Data established a new subsidiary to independently operate mining, and Reap plans to launch multi-national local currency stablecoins to facilitate 24/7 foreign exchange clearing

According to BBX data, yesterday, publicly listed companies in the U.S. and cross-border financial infrastructure disclosed the latest developments in the restructuring of cryptocurrency businesses and global compliance stablecoin settlements. The core information is as follows:Hyperscale Data (NYSE: $GPUS) established a subsidiary, Patriot BTC, to independently undertake mining operations and assets: Nasdaq-listed Bitcoin mining company and AI data center infrastructure company Hyperscale Data officially announced the establishment of a new wholly-owned subsidiary, Patriot BTC. The purpose of this subsidiary is to hold and operate the company's cryptocurrency mining business, mining machines, and related on-chain assets as a completely independent business entity, in order to further optimize the overall asset structure of the parent company and align with the implementation of the AI computing power center strategy.Reap plans to launch multi-national local currency stablecoins to build a 24/7 on-chain foreign exchange trading network: The multinational payment technology platform Reap, which has received strategic support from Kraken's parent company Payward and is a core partner of Visa, announced plans to successively launch local currency stablecoins in multiple countries and regions to achieve 24/7 on-chain foreign exchange settlements. Reap will first launch the Mexican Peso (MXN) stablecoin and is accelerating the exploration of issuing various local currency stablecoins, including the Hong Kong Dollar (HKD), Euro (EUR), South Korean Won (KRW), and Japanese Yen (JPY). This layout aims to completely break the physical limitations of traditional commercial bank operating hours, providing multinational companies with efficient and low-friction on-chain cross-border foreign exchange clearing solutions during nighttime and weekends.

first_img The military branch of Hamas suggests donors avoid Binance and instead use platforms like Bybit and OKX

According to CoinDesk, documents from the asset seizure order released by the U.S. Department of Justice (DoJ) show that the military branch of Hamas, the Al-Qassam Brigades, suggested in a letter to potential donors not to use Binance for transferring funds, but instead recommended platforms such as Bybit, OKX, Kast, and Redotpay. The letter advised using Tether's USDT stablecoin and the TRC-20 network, which is used to create and manage fungible tokens on the Tron blockchain. The Al-Qassam Brigades stated in the letter: "It is best not to use the 'Binance' platform for transferring support, and do not input any data indicating our official name, to avoid your wallet being blocked, and for your safety (inputting any fictitious data as the recipient); you can transfer through applications like Trust Wallet, RedotPay, OKX, Kast, BYBIT, etc." The organization claimed that Binance "can only be used to purchase currency, and then another application is needed to complete the transfer process."Binance's Chief Compliance Officer Noah Perlman responded that the terrorist organization's suggestion for people to avoid Binance indicates that its control measures are working. OKX stated that the wallet address mentioned in the February 10, 2025 communication is unrelated to them and has been identified by their internal controls as being associated with illegal activities, and related transfers will be flagged and blocked. Kast stated that it has a dedicated financial crime compliance department. The U.S. Treasury noted in its 2026 Terrorism Financing Risk Assessment that organizations such as Hamas and ISIS continue to use digital assets for donations and transfers.

first_img The U.S. Department of Defense has been reported to request OpenAI to provide a special version of AI with the "lowest rejection rate" for military commands

Documents obtained by The Intercept through a lawsuit under the Freedom of Information Act show that the U.S. Department of Defense once requested OpenAI to provide a version of artificial intelligence specifically tailored for the military, with a "very low refusal rate" for commands. This statement appeared in the updated contract for the 2025 prototype agreement "P00003," which is a two-year agreement worth up to $200 million, covering logistics, intelligence decision-making, and operational uses. OpenAI, Google, xAI, and Anthropic all agreed to develop such militarized prototypes in 2025.OpenAI spokesperson Nate Evans stated that the company never agreed to contract terms that included a "very low refusal rate," and the relevant documents were early drafts from the Department of Defense, with the final executed contract not containing that statement. Department of Defense spokesperson Jacob Bliss also indicated that the phrase did not appear in any current contracts. The Intercept pointed out that the documents obtained were not marked as drafts; a Department of Justice lawyer representing the Pentagon once confirmed that the document was a signed executed version, but later requested to disregard that confirmation and stated that further investigation was needed. The latest contract signed on February 27 allows OpenAI services to be deployed on military classified networks, with similar delivery terms completely redacted. OpenAI stated that it has drawn a red line regarding autonomous killing and surveillance of Americans, but the contract text allows the government to determine any use as legal.

Research: Over 150 Polymarket wallets suspected of utilizing U.S. military secrets for trading, with total profits of approximately 8 million dollars

The latest research from the Anti-Corruption Data Collective (ACDC) shows that at least 152 anonymous wallets on Polymarket may have profited approximately $8 million by trading on advanced knowledge of U.S. military and defense-related information, achieving an average win rate of 97.2%. However, the research institution emphasizes that blockchain data itself cannot prove the actual identities of the controllers of these wallets, nor can it confirm the sources of their information, and therefore insider trading cannot be established based on this.ACDC analyzed settled markets on Polymarket, focusing on "low probability high stakes" behaviors, which are trades that cumulatively bet at least $2,500 within one hour, with corresponding outcome probabilities not exceeding 35%. The study identified 556 wallets with abnormal trading patterns, of which 152 were involved in military and defense markets. These wallets were referred to by researchers as "Orcas," characterized by their sudden appearance, betting on low probability events, and achieving abnormally high success rates before profiting and exiting. The research found that the success rate of low probability bets in military and defense markets was significantly higher than the overall level on Polymarket, and some abnormal trades quickly attracted large traders and automated trading bots to follow. For example, before a U.S. attack on Iranian nuclear facilities in June 2025, an abnormal bet on U.S. military action appeared, after which an automated trading bot subsequently bet $200,000, and another large trader bet $100,000. Researchers also found similar abnormal bets and follow-on trading behavior before the U.S.-Israeli attack on Tehran.David Szakonyi, co-founder of ACDC, stated that the abnormal trading activities on Polymarket are more public than many traders realize, and large traders and bots are already tracking and replicating suspected informed trades, so foreign intelligence agencies may also be monitoring these public on-chain trading activities. The issue of insider trading in prediction markets has recently received ongoing attention from regulatory agencies. In April, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) accused U.S. Army soldier Gannon Ken Van Dyke of trading Polymarket contracts using confidential information regarding the capture of former Venezuelan President Maduro, allegedly profiting over $404,000. This case is not directly related to the 152 wallets identified. Additionally, in May, the CFTC also charged a Google software engineer with trading 23 Polymarket contracts using confidential information related to the company's 2025 "annual search" rankings, profiting approximately $1.2 million with near-perfect accuracy. Polymarket has previously stated that the company closely monitors suspicious trading and has reported dozens of wallets to the relevant authorities. As the scale of prediction markets continues to expand, insider trading, market manipulation, and national security risks are becoming important reasons for regulatory agencies to strengthen oversight.
