Musk is just a wealthy person who likes to attract attention.

This article is from Rhythm BlockBeats.

On June 5, the famous hacker group Anonymous released a video titled "A Message to Elon Musk" on Facebook. At the end of the video, Anonymous openly stated, "Your opponent Anonymous has arrived, it's a legion, wait and see."

In the video, Anonymous listed several major wrongdoings by Musk:

First, he has crafted his public image by exploiting the public's desire for electric vehicles and space exploration. However, a series of recent actions have shattered this positive public image. Musk increasingly resembles a wealthy person seeking attention, and his pursuit of saving the world seems more rooted in a sense of superiority and a messiah complex rather than based on humanity.

Second, many young underage children are working in (Tesla's) overseas lithium mines, and these mines are polluting the local environment.

Tesla's revenue does not come from selling cars, but from selling carbon credits through innovations in renewable energy, supported by government subsidies. Moreover, clean energy technology is not Musk's innovation; Tesla is merely a company Musk acquired from two more talented individuals. In recent months, Tesla's profits from buying and selling Bitcoin have already surpassed the profits from car sales in the past few years. Even the funds Tesla used to purchase Bitcoin came from government subsidies. Now, Musk criticizes Bitcoin mining for being environmentally unfriendly to continue receiving government subsidies, which has led to significant condemnation of Tesla.

Finally, PoW consensus and mining are controversial topics. Understanding this system requires sufficient knowledge of power operation systems and how miners seek and utilize wasted electricity. Musk does not understand this system; he merely wants to create and control a centralized Bitcoin mining association.

Musk's comments on Twitter show that his market manipulation has ruined many people. Many retail investors rely on cryptocurrency investment returns to improve their quality of life, which is something Musk, who comes from a wealthy family in South Africa that built its fortune through theft and plunder, cannot comprehend.

Has Musk Manipulated the Market?

Anonymous's accusations against Musk are not unfounded. According to previous statistics from Rhythm BlockBeats, every time Musk mentions Bitcoin and Dogecoin on Twitter, it causes short-term price volatility.

Of course, Musk himself disagrees with the allegations of market manipulation. An hour after Anonymous released the video, Musk retweeted a post from Twitter user "Mr. Whale": Bitcoin users believe it is impossible to manipulate Bitcoin, yet they think Musk is manipulating Bitcoin prices, which is undoubtedly a double standard.

Investors who have participated in capital markets surely understand that "Mr. Whale's" statement is clearly a logical fallacy. Any valuable commodity, currency, security, etc., can be subject to short-term manipulation. Only by extending the time frame can the likelihood of manipulation be reduced. The belief among most Bitcoin users that prices cannot be manipulated is evidently based on a longer time dimension.

Originating from 4chan, once took down tens of thousands of ISIS social accounts

Anonymous, the largest hacker branch under the "SECSWA" organization, mainly consists of members from the United States, followed by Europe and Africa.

When talking about Anonymous, one cannot ignore the meme origin site 4chan. In 2003, if registered users on 4chan did not enter a nickname, they would receive the system's default nickname "Anonymous." This is also the origin of the hacker group's name. Initially, Anonymous was a loose organization that often engaged in pranks until 2008.

In 2008, Anonymous orchestrated a series of actions against the Church of Scientology, the organization famously joined by actor Tom Cruise. Anonymous frequently called the Church of Scientology's hotline, sent black faxes that wasted ink, and launched DDoS attacks on their websites. During this operation, some inexperienced anonymous attackers were arrested for failing to hide their IP addresses.

After this operation, Anonymous gradually formed a specific culture and set of values. In 2010, the U.S. State Department requested that companies like MasterCard, VISA, and PayPal suspend payment channels for WikiLeaks. However, Anonymous believed this violated their organizational values and attacked the aforementioned companies. It is reported that PayPal lost over $5 million during this incident.

In 2011, Anonymous launched an operation on the dark web, hacking the child pornography site "Lolita City" and publicly revealing the identities of 1,589 users of the site. Subsequently, the organization banned 40 dark web onion routes.

Recently, Anonymous gained worldwide attention by taking down over 20,000 social accounts of the terrorist organization ISIS in just three days.

As of the time of writing, it is unclear what actions Anonymous will take against Musk. However, according to public information, as early as 2017, Tesla user Hughes discovered a system vulnerability in Tesla vehicles that could be used to manipulate other vehicles. Of course, this vulnerability has since been fixed.
