A Quick Overview of 34 Projects in the zkSync Era Ecosystem

The Alpha version of the zkSync Era mainnet has been online for a week since March 24, with a total locked value (TVL) on the chain reaching $27.46 million and approximately 178,000 users. During this week, the number of transactions on zkSync Era surpassed 200,000. Currently, there are still relatively few ecological applications in the early stages of development, but there is significant room for growth once the foundation is improved.

With the recent launch of Arbitrum's token, the Layer 2 concept is gaining traction. In contrast, the financing and technical background of zkSync's development company, Matter Labs, should not be underestimated. Matter Labs completed a $200 million financing round in November 2022. Four years ago, the development team foresaw that ZK would be key to the large-scale application of cryptocurrencies, launching zkSync Lite (formerly zkSync 1.0) on December 20, 2020. However, due to the lack of EVM functionality, it was relatively inconvenient for developers to use.
Therefore, the main reason for the attention on the launch of zkSync Era is that the team has open-sourced zkEVM (Zero-Knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine), making it easier for developers to use. As a ZK Rollup, zkSync Era provides a trustless protocol for scalable and low-cost transactions on Ethereum using cryptographic validity proofs. zkSync Era also offers features such as native account abstraction, LLVM compiler, and data compression, building ultra-scalability. The zkSync Era ecosystem has attracted multiple applications across various fields, including DeFi, wallets, cross-chain, NFTs, and infrastructure. Currently, Foresight News has compiled 34 projects that have officially launched on zkSync Era, as shown in the ecological overview below:
