UAE refutes rumors: "Golden visa is not applicable to cryptocurrency investors"
ChainCatcher news, reported from Abu Dhabi, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP), the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), and the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) issued a joint statement denying false reports regarding the issuance of golden visas to cryptocurrency investors in the UAE.
ICP clarified that the golden visa does not include cryptocurrency investors but is applicable to eligible categories such as real estate investors and entrepreneurs. SCA emphasized its commitment to regulating the financial industry and securities services, while VARA denied claims about issuing golden visas to virtual asset investors in Dubai and warned investors to obtain information from reliable official sources to avoid misinformation or fraud.
The three regulatory authorities jointly urged the public and investors to act with caution and refer to government official websites and approved communication channels for accurate information.
