ChainCatcher news, regarding the hacking incident that occurred last December, the Web3 multi-chain wallet BitKeep recently announced in their Telegram group that a specific compensation portal will be launched in the first week of February. It is expected that 50% of the funds will be compensated by the end of February, and the remaining funds will be compensated by the end of March. The technical team and security agencies completed a closed-loop verification using multi-dimensional information such as the wallet addresses of the stolen users, the stolen amounts, currencies, and times, and designed a rigorous claim verification plan.ChainCatcher previously reported that on December 26, 2022, the BitKeep wallet was hacked due to APK version hijacking, with stolen funds valued at 8 million dollars.
